Biomedical Engineering
Biomedical engineering advances human health through the application of engineering concepts and techniques to biomedical problems. This is the science that will provide cutting-edge technological solutions to the manifold problems in the ever-proliferating field of medicine and the obvious benefits are new drugs and devices. The Biomedical Research Council supports research efforts in new drug delivery methods, cell and tissue engineering as well as biosensors and biodevices.
The A*STAR Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN) is one of the key players in Biomedical Engineering.
