A delegation from the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK), led by the President of YÖK, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ziya Ozcan, visited A*STAR on 19 November 2009. He was accompanied by the Rectors of four Turkish Universities, namely, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Acar (Rector, Middle East Technical University), Prof. Dr. Yunus Soylet (Rector, Istanbul University), Prof. Dr. Muhammet Sahin (Rector, Istanbul Technical University), and Prof. Dr. Ismail Yuksek (Rector, Yildiz Technical University). The delegation met up with Chairman A*STAR Mr Lim Chuan Poh and discussed about fostering new collaborations, as well as facilitating student exchange programmes (both at the Undergraduate and Post-graduate level) between Turkish Universities, and Singapore Universities and A*STAR Research Institutes. While at A*STAR, the Turkish delegation visited the STARHome, and selected A*STAR Research Institutes.
