14th Biomedical Sciences International Advisory Council Meeting
Highlights
The 14th Biomedical Sciences International Advisory Council (BMS IAC) meeting was held on 19-20 November 2009. During the two-day meeting, the council discussed the progress of Singapore's BMS effort, and the developing of biologics and pharmaceutical industries.
It was also announced at the end of the meeting that leveraging on A*STAR's biomedical sciences effort and engineering capabilities, new programmes will be introduced to boost the growing medical technology industry in Singapore. The new programmes include the collaboration between A*STAR and CIMIT (Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology) in Boston, USA, and A*STAR’s Biomedical Engineering Programme.
