Mr Andrew Tan Kok Kiong

Mr Tan Kok Kiong Andrew was appointed Chief Executive Officer of National Environment Agency (NEA) on 1 January 2009. Concurrently, he is also Director of the Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC). Prior to this, Mr Tan was Deputy Secretary (Special Duties) in the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.
Mr Tan joined the Singapore Administrative Service in 1991. He has worked in the Ministry of Information and the Arts, the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also Principal Private Secretary to Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.
Mr Tan graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in History from King's College, University of London, in 1989. He attended the Edward S Mason Programme at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he obtained his Masters in Public Administration in 2002. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
Mr Tan is a Member of the Sentosa Development Corporation Board.
Mr Tan is married with three children.
