A*STAR International Fellowship (AIF)   The A*STAR International Fellowship provides PhD graduates with two years of fully funded post-doctoral training at top overseas laboratories to expand their research experience and learn new skills to advance their scientific careers. This international exposure will enable PhD graduates to connect with the global research community and build international networks. Upon completion of the post-doctorate training, students can look forward to embarking on an exciting career at A*STAR's Research Institutes. Eligibility Candidates should have completed a PhD within the last 4 years. Candidates in the final stages of their PhD will be accepted, provided that the PhD will be completed before the start date of the AIF. Confirmation of award of the PhD will be required before the AIF award is confirmed. Candidates should possess excellent publication records. Candidates should not have existing service obligations to any institutions. Singaporeans or other nationals intending to take up Singapore Citizenship. Non-Singaporeans are required to take up Singapore citizenship prior to the commencement of fellowship. Candidates should have gained or be in the process of gaining admission into a relevant post-doctoral position at a top overseas university/laboratory. Coverage Successful candidates will be given support for up to 2 years of overseas post-doctoral research training. Successful candidates will receive *: Monthly sustenance and overseas living allowances Settling-in, book and miscellaneous allowances Annual personal insurance and conference allowances Annual return airfare *All rates/allowances vary according to country and university/lab, and are subject to A*STAR adjustments from time to time Service Commitment 1 year Application Procedure Please click here to download application form. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by A*GA to approach A*STAR Research Institutes to speak with the prospective supervisor and Executive Director to endorse the application.
