A*STAR believes that people are the key drivers of Singapore’s knowledge-based economy. It is with this axiom that scholarships for undergraduate studies was launched to groom a generation of bright, young and enthusiastic research talent into their PhD education. These talent will later be at the forefront of shaping Singapore into a world-class scientific hub.
A*GA administers several scholarship schemes to nurture local young talent. The National Science Scholarship (BS) and National Science Scholarship (MBBS-PhD) support undergraduate studies at some of the finest universities overseas, while the Pre-Graduate Scholarship (PGS) provides opportunities for top-notch education with local universities.
The Singapore International Pre-Graduate Awards (SIPGA) is open to international students doing their undergraduate studies or Masters programme. SIPGA provides opportunities for students to experience the vibrant scientific environment through short research attachments at A*STAR labs.
