Singapore Science & Engineering Fair

Open to all upper secondary and JC students between 15 and 21 years old

The Singapore Science & Engineering Fair (SSEF) is a national competition which targets students from the upper secondary and junior college level. Students are challenged to work on innovative research projects which cover the science and engineering disciplines.

These projects can be sourced from the Science Research Programme (SRP), Technology & Engineering Research Programme (TERP), Science Mentorship Programme (SMP) or projects done at school or cluster level. In addition, the SSEF is affiliated to the prestigious Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), regarded as the world's largest pre-college celebration of science. Strong contenders from the SSEF also vie for the A*STAR Talent Search and the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

Details of the SSEF can be found here External Link.

National Science Challenge

Open to secondary three students

The National Science Challenge is a highly competitive game show which is broadcast on television (MediaCorp Channel 5). This competition provides secondary three students with a chance to challenge their knowledge and foster creativity in the areas of science, technology and biomedicine.  Science Buskers Festival

Open to all aged 7 to 70 years old

The Science Buskers Festival encompassed the idea of developing the individual's communication skills through expressions of science in creative manners. Organised as a competition, Science Buskers Festival served as an excellent platform to spread key messages relating to the importance of making science “alive” in action. During the competition, contestants did a "show-and-tell" on any science topic, and judging was based on audiences' votes and judges' scores.
