The Prime Minister of Finland, Mr Matti Taneli Vanhanen, was in Singapore to meet with President S. R. Nathan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, as well as deliver a public lecture on the topic “Combating Climate Change: Solutions for Today and Tomorrow” at the LYK School of Public Policy. PM Vanhanen visited A*STAR in the evening of 18 November 2009, where he met up with Chairman A*STAR Mr Lim Chuan Poh, and discussed on the different approaches to cultivating a strong and competitive R&D environment in both Singapore and Finland. PM Vanhanen also visited the FusionWorld Gallery at Fusionopolis.
