In order to foster scientific interaction amongst scientists as well as to promote understanding, appreciation and societal awareness of biomedical sciences, BMRC is providing funding assistance to support local conferences, symposia and workshops.

BMRC aims to have 2 calls for applications each year; these will take place in April and October. The April 2008 call has closed, and the next call is scheduled for October 2008.

Eligibility

1. Scientific event should take place on or before 31 March 2009.
2. Scientific event must be held in Singapore.
3. This call does not extend to events organized by A*STAR Research Institutes.
4. Each scientific event may be funded up to a maximum of $10K.

1. Soft copy to A-STAR_ADMIN_BMRC@a-star.edu.sg, stating “Application for BMRC Symposium Sponsorship” in the email subject, OR

All submissions must reach BMRC by 30 April 2008 (Wednesday) . Incomplete application forms will not be accepted.

Please note that only successful applicants will be notified, latest by June 2008. BMRC sponsorship for each symposium would be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in the letter of offer and disbursed only after the conclusion of the symposium.
