JC Strategic Thrusts
At A*STAR, the collective core capabilities of the Biomedical Research Council (BMRC) and the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) present a huge opportunity for leveraging new breakthroughs at the joint-council interface. A*JC's strategic thrusts are based on A*STAR's firm belief that when creative minds from different disciplines work together, the result can be startling.
The strategic thrusts of A*JC can be broadly classified into three key areas:
- Enabling multi-disciplinary research through science and technology initiatives;
- Cultivating joint council culture through science communications and interaction platforms; and
- Fostering collaborations with international partners.
