Responsibilities:

·        Lead the internal ARTC R&D activities and development projects related to automated high accuracy personalized dosing and filling of powders and liquids.

·        Co-ordinate the research activities with other A*STAR research entities, internal project teams (project management / technical teams) and external research partners (academic and industrial) to deliver projects to our customers on time, per requirements.

·        Perform data sorting, analysis, interpretation and reporting based on the experimental information collected internally / externally.

·        Create various documentation for the projects, including designs, instructions, presentations and technical reports for delivery to our members.

·        Train and guide other team members (permanent staff / interns) in disciplines under his/her portfolio.

·        Along with other team members, ensure proactive compliance to health and safety procedures.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


•        Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or in another relevant discipline, with deep knowledge of the FMCG industry and specifically filling technologies.

•        Minimum 3 years work experience at leading R&D and/or development projects, preferably in food-related or pharmaceutical applications.

•        An agile team player with great interpersonal and communication skills, able to learn and adapt quickly to the ever-changing demands of the new technologies required by our customers.

The Advanced Remanufacturing theme aims to develop advanced technology for the rejuvenation of high value components with complex geometry, using state-of-the-art technology for cleaning, removing defects and adding material to reconstruct the features. Integrated adaptive technology minimizes human intervention and at the same time, reduces errors that can potentially lead to rework or scrapping of expensive parts, thereby enhances productivity.

Responsibilities:

·        The incumbent will combine technologies and know-how to conceptualize, design and develop a broad range of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems or components related to the Fast Moving Customer Goods industry, focusing on safety, economy, reliability, sustainability and quality.

As a Deputy / Technical Division Director, you will be leading an R&D team of Research Scientists & Engineers to develop advanced robotics solutions for end users from various industry sectors, including aerospace, heavy machinery, consumer goods. ·        Provide technical leadership in specific NDE technology domains in accordance with demands and requirements of the FMCG industry for both functional (integrity) and cosmetic (appearance) package evaluation

The Non-destructive Evaluation (NDE) Team within the Intelligent Product Verification Group at ARTC develops cutting-edge non-destructive testing and inspection technologies for our Industry Members. The NDE Team works on a range of exciting applications including: robotic automation, 3D X-ray scanning for additive manufacturing, ultrasonics (UT), eddy current (EC), thermography and the development of augmented reality (AR) apps for inspectors. The team also collaborates closely with local and international universities to create novel NDE methods to meet future requirements for the Advanced Manufacturing and Remanufacturing Industries. The application of NDE in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector for packaging inspection is a growing focus of the team. We are looking to enhance the team with dynamic people who possess excellent engineering skills combined with relevant industrial experience and who are passionate about developing the latest technology. 

 

Responsibilities:

·        Identify inspection demands and requirements of the FMCG industry for both functional (integrity) and cosmetic (appearance) package evaluation

As a Technical Lead, you will lead a research and development team to develop next generation software robotics solutions, based on the open-source Robot Operating System (ROS) framework. Together, we have an opportunity to shape the future of robotics.

The role includes:

Responsibilities:

•   Handling, coordinating and provide subject matter advice on entity/centre centric purchasing requests for all department, aligning Government Good Practice and ARTC’s Business Model. This will include all kind of purchasing processes for example RFQ and Tender purchase
