JOB DESCRIPTION


Condition monitoring (CM) refers to a set of techniques which are used to monitor plant equipment (using different technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, motor current analysis, etc.), determine their status or health and predict their failures for a better maintenance and to prevent long downtimes.

Our Condition Monitoring team is working on developing new solutions for applications such as machine tools, FMCG, etc. for better performance and for early detection of systems defects, so that corrective actions (which can be through maintenance or adaptive control) can be performed  on time.

Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for the execution of experimental tasks required for the team activities (this includes the operation of CNC machine tools, instrumentation and sensor integration, data collection and related measurements). An in-house training on the different equipment will be provided, when needed.

·         Support the efforts of the team for developing new CM solutions and running projects for ARTC members

·         Technical reporting and presentation


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Candidates should have skills (and preferably, experience) in one or more of the following topics:

·         Knowledge on machining processes, and the operation of CNC machine tools

·         Knowledge in instrumentation, sensor technology and data acquisition

JOB DESCRIPTION


The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Team within the Intelligent Product Verification Group at ARTC develops cutting-edge inspection technology for our industry members. The team works on a range of exciting NDT applications including: development and validation of application-specific acquisition and analysis methods for NDT test data, efficient data interpretation for defect detection and characterisation, robotic automation of ultrasonic and electro-magnetic probes and 3D X-ray computed tomography (XCT) for additive manufacturing. The team also collaborates closely with local and international universities to create novel, and enhance existing, NDT methods to meet future requirements for the Advanced Manufacturing and Remanufacturing Industries. The team also works with other IPV teams to support the development of augmented reality (AR) apps for inspectors. We are looking to grow the NDT team with dynamic, talented and experienced individuals who possess excellent R&D skills and are passionate about developing the latest technology.

 

Responsibilities:

      Provide technical leadership in specific NDT technology domains

      Take ownership of the NDT technology domain roadmap and implementation strategy

      Be accountable for technical deliverables of NDT related industry projects

      Identification of technology gaps between industrial requirements and commercial solutions

Responsibilities:

The Energy & Petrochemicals sector is new in ARTC and the successful candidate will report to the Business & Technical Director at ARTC. The primary focus of the role is to attract new members to this cluster, drive the delivery of projects, by working closely with the existing Business, Technical, Operations and PMO teams to resource, align and deliver. The role will also engage the industry members as well as formulating 1-3 near term strategy initially. The ARTC works in a matrix format and requires a good team player with strong leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Own and drive the successful delivery of projects for customers from the energy and petrochemicals sector (downstream manufacturing) by working closely with various functions, particularly the existing Business, Technical, Operations and PMO teams to resource, align and deliver.

·      Identification of technologies to be developed, acquired or collaborated by ARTC to support the program members with the support of ARTC core technology areas

Responsibilities:

Reporting to and working closely with the Group Manager and leading a team of engineers or scientist in the Surface Enhancement group, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key projects and growth to ensure relevance to the manufacturing industry. As a subject matter expert, he/she will also be involved in mapping out group technology strategy as well as mentoring junior engineers or scientist to deliver important KPIs that are aligned to ARTC strategic goals.

 

Specific responsibilities are:

·         Responsible for delivering group’s KPI in terms of technology transfer, research revenue, publications and intellectual property.

·         Assist in supervisory and coordination of the contractors, their sub-contractors and JTC Landlord in building maintenance work such as air-conditioning system, chilled water, electrical, plumbing, lighting, compressed air system, gas distribution system, projectors system and other general services

Responsibilities:

·        Responsible for leading and managing the full life cycle R&D projects and product delivery by planning, organizing, executing and evaluating from conception to completion.

·        Ensure successful delivery of project scope and targets while managing project risk, quality, delivery, scope, schedule, and budget.

·        Partners with internal and external stakeholders to establish communication plans, build project schedules and establish clear project deliverables and milestones.

·        Drive leadership by motivating project team members in the design, development, and delivery of R&D solutions to customers.

·        Ability to demonstrate a good level of understanding of technical/engineering processes in order to work with teams throughout the project development cycle.

·        Track, monitor and report the progress of the project to all stakeholders.

·        Establish projeclifecycle management procedures and best practices to ensure project teams maintain discipline needed to successfully complete their projects.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


·        Bachelor or Masters in any engineering related discipline

·        PMP certifications or equivalent will be advantageous

·        At least 5-10 year(s) of working experience in the related field as well as project management experience

·        Strong business acumen, driven to deliver customer requirements and project deadlines

·        Outstanding project management capabilities; i.e. planning, risk management, status reporting, budget tracking, benefits analysis, stakeholder management, resource management

·        Proven track record of executing multiple successful projects (delivered on-time, meeting product requirements and cost target)

·        Knowledge and understanding of re-manufacturing techniques and limitations

·        A team player and technically motivated to solve problems, innovate and deliver to internal and external customers

JOB DESCRIPTION


Responsibilities:

·         Reports to the Project Management Office Leader

·         Assists and advises Technical Project Managers and Project Team members on best practice in the use of project management disciplines, according to the company’s Project Lifecycle Management process

·         Acts as a reference point for PMO queries from Project Teams and for passing information from PMO to project teams

·         Ensures project documentation (e.g. project agreement, reports, etc.) is relevant, accurate and complete

·         Ensures all project documents are properly archived

·         Tracks and reports on current project status/issues, providing a real-time and comprehensive view of all allocated projects to the PMO on a regular basis

·         Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions

·         Update the company’s project lifecycle management procedures and ensures project teams maintain discipline needed to successfully complete their projects

·         Become an expert user of the company’s Project Management Software to assist Project Managers in using the software (e.g. creating and updating project schedule)

·         Become an expert user/administrator of project-related websites

·         Facilitate good communication between the cross-functional team members; fosters team work, motivates personnel and aim towards continual improvement.

·         Interact with industry members and ensure effective communicate throughout the project life cycle


JOB REQUIREMENTS


·         Bachelor in Engineering related discipline

·         Experience in Project Management preferred but not required

·         At least an intermediate user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

The Advanced Remanufacturing theme aims to develop advanced technology for the rejuvenation of high value components with complex geometry, using state-of-the-art technology for cleaning, removing defects and adding material to reconstruct the features. Integrated adaptive technology minimizes human intervention and at the same time, reduces errors that can potentially lead to rework or scrapping of expensive parts, thereby enhances productivity.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Develop remanufacturing and repair processes for cross-sector industrial applications

·         Application of state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies on repair development projects

·         Perform research, development and implementation of processes for repair applications

·         Technical planning, execution and delivery of development projects for global industry members

·         Writing of technical reports and presentation of technical results



JOB REQUIREMENTS


·         Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Engineering or in a relevant discipline   

·         Relevant internship experience in a manufacturing or remanufacturing role within the aerospace, MRO, oil & gas, marine, machinery and/or work experience in research organizations conducting applied R&D

JOB DESCRIPTION


 

Responsibilities:

·         Perform applied research, development and implementation of additive laser metal deposition technologies and Cold Spray at the Centre.

·         Support the technical team in the planning, execution and delivery of development projects for our global industry members.

·         Collaborate with other A*STAR research institutes for the development of simulation models to be used in development projects.

·         Collaborate with other scientists for the development of the additive element of the hybrid technologies being introduced in ARTC.

·         Redaction of technical papers, reports and presentations of technical results as required

·         Coach the team of young engineers and scientists for skills development on subjects related to additive laser metal deposition and cold spray processes.

 


JOB REQUIREMENTS


·         Doctorate in Engineering in a relevant discipline

·         Academic experience in research and education on technical subjects, with publications related to the performed research

·         Demonstrated knowledge in a variety of technologies related to materials and additive technologies.

·         Work experience in industrial environment, laboratories or research organizations conducting applied R&D

·         Keen to work on equipment as required for in-depth understanding of the additive technologies of the Centre
