Data Scientist

To drive the adoption of industry 4.0 solutions, ARTC will be setting up the Smart Manufacturing Group as a demonstrating platform for the industry. This public-private partnership programme aims to co-develop a model factory with industry players, to collaborate and develop Future or Manufacturing (FoM) technologies, based on real applications in advanced manufacturing and remanufacturing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:-

2. Research, investigate and execute smart manufacturing factory concepts in Artificial Intelligence (AI) topics such as Deep Learning/Machine Learning, Optimization, Signal processing and Reasoning within the context of the Factory of the Future
3. Development of machine learning models/predictive analytics techniques that optimizes manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance

JOB REQUIREMENTS:-
PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or Statistics
Experience in data mining, data analysis, model building, statistical modeling, predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms

Software Development Scientist

Industrial Simulation Scientist

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:-

• Responsible for performing feasibility studies relative to digital simulation
•  Create 2D and 3D digital model of workstations, robotics cell, machining centers, continuous line,  assembly cells and autonomous transport systems
•  Model and simulate complete production systems and their processes
•  Perform experiments and what-if scenarios to optimize production systems and processes using extensive analysis tools such as statistics, charts and bottleneck analysis
•  Develop optimization algorithms for cycle times and throughput in assembly line balancing problems. Using linear programming tools to implement the developed algorithms.
•  Propose recommendations based on feasibility assessments and communicating feasibility assessment results to process engineering with the aid of PowerPoint simulation reports

 JOB REQUIREMENTS:-
 PhD in Engineering 
Experience creating 3D simulations

Technician

Responsibilities

• Develop and support surface enhancement technology development projects for industry partners in aerospace, MRO, marine and machinery

• Perform mechanical characterisation as part of a service or technology development project. This will mainly be residual stress measurements using X-ray diffraction although other methods of characterisation such as hole-drilling and fatigue testing may also be required.

• Perform chemical work for sample preparation prior to characterisation/observation. This will mainly be through electropolishing and etching processes.   

• Maintain and improve laboratory quality systems and address queries from quality department

• Recording data, analyse  and preparing technical results

• Ensure good housekeeping, organisation, and safety in the workplace

Job Requirements

• ITE certificate or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics or in a relevant engineering discipline

• At least 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing roles within the aerospace, MRO, oil & gas, marine, machinery and/or work experience in research organisations conducting applied R&D

Testbed Maintenance Technician / Assistant Engineer

As a team member in the Smart Manufacturing Group (SMG), you are to work with the team to achieve the group objectives and mission. You will report to the Testbed Manager and work closely with the team to support solution implementation and maintenance of the testbeds.  

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensures that all testbeds (Lean Assembly Line, Virtual Manufacturing Lab, Manufacturing Intelligence Control Hub, etc) are well maintained.
  • To assist the Testbed Team to ensure H&SE and 5s are comply with ARTC’s Operation and Workshop Policy.
  • To participate in generation and improvements of Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedure (SWP) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • To work closely with testbed team to improve current Lean Assembly Line’s conditions and processes.
  • To assist Testbed Senior Engineers’ with procurement, sourcing and coordination of meeting with suppliers.
  • To maintain, procure and coordinate purchase of Testbed related tools, equipment and inventories. 
  • To assist in testing of solutions, with the supervision of projects’ technical leads.
  • To coordinate and lead interns to set up layout for Member’s and ARTC’s visits.
  • Able to work closely with colleagues from other departments, i.e Operations, Business Development etc to deliver ARTC’s goals and objectives.

Advanced Robotic Applications

Technical Lead (Robotic Software Development)

The robotisation of manufacturing processes offer a number of advantages over the conventional approaches including flexibility in handling complex features, ability to work in harsh environment, as well as added intelligence in adaptive feedback control. The ARTC has developed a number of robotic applications for members including inspection, dry ice cleaning and surface finishing.

·         Separate documents to Human Resources, Finance Shared Services, etc

·         Know who key personnel are

 

3.  Stamp inventory for mailing to external parties

·         Sign out stamps when issued to staff in Stamp Inventory Record

·         Restock stamps when required

 

4. Handling Forwarder for overseas shipment

·         Contact forwarder for pick up when request comes in

·         Preparing shipping documents required by forwarder

·         Record in dispatch record (hardcopy book)

5. Manage L1 keys

·         All keys borrowing must be recorded in the Key Movement Record

·         Accountable for keys

 

6. Manage stationary and pantry inventory for Level 1.

·         Coordinate resupply once a week on Fridays with Inventory in-charge for stationary and pantry items


7. Mailbox

·         Open mailbox daily at basement

·         Assist to distribute mail to staff. Directors’ mails to be handed to their Secretaries/Personal Assistants.

·          

8. Receive deliveries                                                                                                                                                           

·         Inform requestor on purchases arrival

·         Check goods quantity and tally against delivery orders

·         Sign and acknowledge DO

·         Hands DO/invoices to ARTC Finance

·         Scanning of ALL invoices/Delivery Orders

·         Save to Admin share drive, delivery order folder.

·         Take note of naming convention for invoices/DO with PO (Invoice Date PO No. Vendor Name) and invoices/DO without PO (Invoice Date DO No. Vendor Name)

 

9.Miscellaneous

·         Ensure safety goggles are cleaned

·         Activate the welcome board for VIP guests

·         Maintain 5S standards for Reception

·         Lights turned off after working hours.

·         Electronics are locked up after working hours.

 


JOB REQUIREMENTS


·         NITEC/ITE/Diploma in related field

·         Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in administrative support related work

·         Able to breakdown the assigned work into deliverable tasks and provide realistic timeline for their completion

·         Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel
