Research Officers (Cancer Stem Cell Biology)

Positions for Research Officers are available in the Cancer Stem Cell Biology Laboratory at GIS. The laboratory is broadly interested in understanding the contributions of cancer stem cells to malignant cancer progression. We focus on dissecting the distinctive properties of cancer stem cells in various carcinomas, and seek to exploit these traits as vulnerabilities towards the development of targeted cancer therapies.

Applicants should have relevant training in the field of biomedical sciences. Prior experience in cancer, stem cell, animal models or translational research is desirable. Candidates are expected to be highly motivated, possess strong organization skills, and work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree (with Honors) in Biomedical Sciences or other relevant disciplines
  • Prior working experience with standard molecular biology and cell culture techniques
  • Possess excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of the team
