The COVID-19 pandemic this year has made it challenging for us to organize any physical networking events.  Therefore, we have kicked off an Industry Webinar Series aimed at facilitating the exchange of knowledge and ideas about IIoT, where Members from I³ consortium and industry partners can share their technology, applications and problem statements. The webinars will be conducted on the last Friday of every month.  

Our 1st session was held on 30 October 2020, and we were happy to have Sembcorp Marine and Cisco Systems as our inaugural speakers.  Mr Simon Kuik, Vice President and Head Research & Development, at Sembcorp Marine shared the progress and challenges of the Digital Transformation Journey for the shipyard.  This was followed by Mr Casey Yoon, IoT Specialist, Cisco Systems, who shared about the convergence of OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Information Technology) with a focus on Cybersecurity. There was also a good discussion on implementing secure wireless networking solutions for IIoT deployment. It was an informative session for the 128 attendees from 19 organisations who attended this session.
