Nanofabrication (NFB)

The NFB department concentrates primarily on both top-down and bottom-up nanofabrication techniques, as well as advancing the science and engineering of structured materials at the micro and nanoscale. While the development of high precision, nanomanufacturing techniques is the main objective, the department also spearheads key applications in photonics and optics (plasmonics, metamaterials) and thin film modification surface technologies for their successful integration into functional devices.
