Materials growth: physical vapor deposition (sputtering, PLD, and electron-beam evaporation) .


Materials characterization: X-ray photoemission spectroscopic characterization (XPS).


Simulations: First-principles calculations (VASP, CASTEP, Dmol3, Quantum Esspresso, ATK, and DFTB).
