Virtual Quantum Network

Quantum memories and light sources will enable a large-scale network to gather, exchange, and process quantum information. This would allow unbreakable encryption guaranteed by the laws of physics. We could also create a network which quantum computers can use to exchange data and perform large-scale simulations.

Towards this goal, we are also developing a virtual quantum network, allowing us to accurately simulate large-scale quantum communications. This allows us to understand, optimise and guide the construction of future quantum networks.
