Nanotechnology refers to the manipulation of matter at atomic level to create new materials and functions. While nanotechnology is a widely discussed and debated topic in recent years, opportunities are plentiful to apply the emerging capabilities in manufacturing. SIMTech’s Nanotechnology in Manufacturing Initiative (NiMI) is leading the effort to explore nanomaterials for industry applications and address the challenges in the adoption of nanotechnology for manufacturing.
NiMI is a focused interest group under SIMTech’s Membership platform. Its mission is to develop industry capabilities, enhance manufacturing competitiveness, and share knowledge and best practices in exploiting nanotechnology for manufacturing. NiMI will facilitate collaborations and synergise R&D efforts among industry partners.
