4th International Conference on Industrial Informatics

Date: 16 Aug 2006 - 18 Aug 2006

Venue: Singapore

This IEEE Industrial Informatics Conference is a premier conference in industrial informatics which brings together industry experts, engineers, researchers and academics to exchange ideas, experiences and directions in emerging technologies and methodologies, break-through and innovative solutions, as well as successful industrial applications.

To be competitive in the ever globalised world economy, enterprises need to integrate their manufacturing and services systems. These systems are dynamic, heterogeneous, distributed and complex in nature. It is therefore increasingly challenging to control, manage and sustain the performance of such systems. The controlled sharing and management of information over the Internet and industrial networks are critical to the effective planning, coordination and execution of activities and movement of materials/services through the value chain to address the various stages of the product or service life cycle.

This conference continues the highly successful series of IEEE conferences on Industrial Informatics held in 2003 in Canada, 2004 in Germany, and 2005 in Australia. INDIN’06 aims to provide a forum for international researchers to present and share new ideas, state-of-the-art research results, and novel approaches to address key research and technological challenges encountered in the integration and management of manufacturing and service systems.

Prospective participants are invited to electronically submit a full paper (6 pages, about 4500 words, PDF or WinWord file) of their original work following the IEEE instructions available on the website of the conference. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit to IEEE transaction on Industrial Informatics. All INDIN conference papers are included in EI index and IEEE Xplore.

Technical Tracks and topics include, but not limited to:
1. Collaborative Manufacturing and Service System
