Short Course on Ultra-precision Machine Design and Development

Introduction

Increasing the precision and accuracy of machines, products and processes offers substantial benefits in a great variety of applications ranging from ultra-precision to traditional mass production. In design and manufacturing, increasing precision and accuracy can multiply opportunities and capabilities and lead to breakthroughs. Internationally renowned instructors with a combination of more than 60 years of experience in precision machine design in the industry and Cranfield University, together with staff members from SIMTech for this 4-day intensive course will give you the basic precision engineering principles and state-of-the-art concepts for achieving higher precision and accuracy in your machines and products. It is a highly practical, results oriented and intensive short course for engineers in machine tool, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, optics and other industries. In this course, the instructors will encourage questions, comments and participation from attendees at all times. The last day of the course is scheduled for addressing participants’ specific design and manufacturing problems.

Due to the limited number of seats, registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. CONFIRMATION NOTE will be sent to all confirmed participants. Please arrange for payment before the commencement of the course. Crossed cheques should be made payable to “Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology”. If a participant is unable to attend, a replacement is permissible. A 50% refund will be made only for withdrawals received in writing five (5) working days before the commencement of the course. SIMTech reserves the right to cancel or postpone any of the courses. In the event of cancellation, registration fees will be fully refunded.
