Automation Software Solutions and Standards for Distributed Control
Date: 30 Mar 2004 - 30 Mar 2004
Venue: SIMTech, Auditorium, Tower Block, Level 3
As Singapore is moving towards a knowledge-based economy, local enterprises must remain vigilant in this fast-changing, competitive and dynamic global industry. The keys for survival are the quick adoption to leading edge technologies and the ability to participate and collaborate with potential partners in your domain.
Interoperability amongst different computing platforms and their heterogeneous technology is a well-known problem in current industrial automation area. One solution for this is to adopt international standards. These standards will be helpful to eliminate custom interfaces, create re-usable modules and communicate data locally and remotely over the enterprise network and internet. This workshop jointly organised by Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) and Infoteam Software Company will share expertise to help local manufacturing enterprises understand technologies and software solutions that are available for use. The workshop will demonstrate to Singapore industries state-of-the-art in industrial automation, distributed control, medical automation, real-time control and embedded systems.
This workshop gathers SIMTech and international experts to share cutting-edge technologies that are needed for next generation manufacturing and to help local manufacturing companies and system integrators to understand and apply emerging technologies and standards.
