Introduction:Mr Cai TianXiang is a Senior Research Engineer at SIMTech. He received his BSc in Mathematics from Peking University in 1988, and MSc in Operations Research from the Institute of Applied Mathematics at Chinese Academy of Science in 1991.Since joining SIMTech, he has played a key role in several industrial project to develop an advanced planning and scheduling system and also has contributed to demand forecasting project by design of architecture and development. From 2003 to 2005, under A*Star T-Up programme he had worked as senior management consultant in iDIMENSION, and as a team leader, he had successfully finished three industry projects with total revenue of over 1 million. He is now leading a project to design an open architecture and generic production planning & scheduling model for HMLV manufacturing. His research interests include production planning and scheduling, demand forecasting and system architecture design.
