BGI’S VISIT TO GIS
Mr Wang Jian (in green top), flanked by GIS Executive Director Prof Patrick Tan (left) and GIS Deputy Executive Director Prof Liu Jian Jun (right), together with GIS colleagues and the BGI delegation at GIS.
19 November 2022 – Beijing Genomics Institute’s (BGI) Chairman Wang Jian visited the Genome Institute of Singapore, and gave a talk on leveraging the latest high throughput, low-cost technological tools to carry out research on a large population. The talk drew an overwhelming response, and provided a better understanding for our GIS colleagues on BGI’s capabilities and research work.
The BGI visitors and GIS upper management then proceeded to a closed-door meeting to further discuss on collaborative efforts, and to strengthen the relations between GIS and BGI.
