BMRC General Grant Calls
The Biomedical Research Council (BMRC) of A*STAR provides competitive grant support and research resources to investigators for its research institutes and also for other publicly funded institutions such as universities, hospitals and specialty centres in Singapore.
BMRC funds basic biomedical and translational clinical research that is relevant to human health as well as research that looks at the causes, consequences, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases.
General grant calls issued by BMRC include:
BMRC-NMRC Joint Grant Call
Each year, A*STAR’s Biomedical Research Council (BMRC) and the Ministry of Health’s National Medical Research Council (NMRC) conduct a joint grant call for investigator-driven biomedical research proposals. The Grant Call typically opens on the first working day each May and remains open for no less than one month.
BMRC funds basic biomedical and translational research that is relevant and important to human health. NMRC funds research projects that are translational and/or clinical in nature. Technology-driven proposals with little biological or clinical application will not be funded by BMRC and NMRC.
