HHP I&E Workshop
Stronger Together

We organised our first HHP I&E workshop on 23 March 2023 at SGInnovate. About 70 colleagues from publicly funded institutions and national platforms in the HHP domain attended the event.

The participants came from a variety of institutions including the Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation Singapore (CRIS), Duke-NUS Medical School, Diagnostics Development Hub (DXD Hub), National University Health System (NUHS), National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Experimental Drug Development Centre (EDDC).

We shared work plans and brainstormed ideas on strengthening partnerships.

The key takeaways:

• Mindset change is necessary to prioritise one Singapore over individual organisations.
• It is important to establish clear and measurable goals to ensure that everyone is working towards the same objectives.
• A central organisation with legal and Technology Transfer Office functions could facilitate partnership negotiations and cross-institutional knowledge sharing.
• Collaborative cross-functional teams from all I&E institutes can better tackle complex challenges and generate innovative solutions.
