Innovation Factory Brings Commercially Viable Products to Life

A*STAR and Enterprise Singapore’s pilot Innovation Factory @ SIMTech was launched in December 2020 more to help local SMEs transform ideas into commercially viable products that are ready for market adoption. more A full-scale version is slated to open at CleanTech Park by early 2022. Strategic partners of the programme include the Singapore Precision Engineering & Technology Association, and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation.

Local SME, JM VisTec System, engaged the Innovation Factory to develop a structured-light 3D scanner for their machine vision solution. Through this initiative, the company is currently in the process of commercialising the scanner and rolling it out to a range of industries, including logistics, defence, healthcare, agri-technology and construction.
