Bio Rapid Automated Valence Engine (BRAVE)

BRAVE is an automated system designed by researchers from A*STAR’s Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), and DxD Hub, in collaboration with local enterprise KA Industrial Engineering.

BRAVE supports the nation’s goal of larger-scale COVID-19 testing through capabilities such as barcode scanning for sample identification, and customised robotic systems for automated handling of test samples. BRAVE helps minimise human errors as well as contamination and infection risks for laboratory staff, resulting in accurate, reliable and high-throughput testing within a safer environment.
