BMRC RESEARCH ENTITIES

The Biomedical Research Council’s (BMRC) primary role is to generate economic impact by sustaining the development and growth of the biomedical sciences industry in Singapore. BMRC also places great emphasis on translating new knowledge and technologies created in the labs into new clinical applications for diagnosis and treatment that will translate to healthcare outcomes for patients.

BMRC functions both as a public research funding agency, as well as a research performer. It leverages public sector R&D to create differentiated propositions and a trained workforce to support the growth of corporate R&D and innovation activities in Singapore. It has capabilities that extend across the pharmaceutical, biologics, medical technology, nutrition and personal care industries.

SERC RESEARCH ENTITIES

The Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) promotes public sector R&D in a wide range of fields including communications, data storage, materials, chemicals, computational sciences, microelectronics, process manufacturing and metrology.

SERC manages the following research entities and several state-of-the art centres and facilities with core competencies in the above fields to tackle global technological challenges and create future industries.
