About AMTA

The Advanced Manufacturing Training Academy (AMTA) is a national programme office tasked to lead the fore-sighting of emerging skills and knowledge, chart and map training offerings, and facilitate the development of new training courses to address skills gaps and training demand for the advanced manufacturing workforce of Singapore.

AMTA is guided by a training council comprised of government agencies, institutes of higher learning, and industry partners. It is supported by Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), in partnership with Workforce Singapore (WSG) and JTC Corporation.

MISSION

  • Fore-sighting of emerging skills and knowledge in advanced manufacturing based on the analysis of global trends and insights on Singapore’s manufacturing strategy and incoming investments.
  • Charting advanced manufacturing training in Singapore, through the evaluation of existing training offerings in the ecosystem and coordinating and advising on training and skills development efforts at the national level.
  • Facilitating the development of new courses and curriculum in partnership with Institutes of Higher Learnings (IHLs) and other training providers (TPs) to address any gaps in the training ecosystem and to support the industry’s transformation efforts and workforce skills upgrading.
