To drive the adoption of industry 4.0 solutions, ARTC will be setting up the Smart Manufacturing Group as a demonstrating platform for the industry. Responsibilities:
Be part of a taskforce to support and contribute to the ARTC vision of Industry 4.0 for
Singapore.
Design and build prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing and set them up on
Model Factory @ ARTC testbed for the Singapore industry.
Design and build visual analytical techniques using computer graphics for web based
applications.
Research and Development on GPUs for virtual reality application development.
Implement a robust set of web-services and APIs to power the web application.
Integration of front-end and back-end aspects of the web application.
Writing of technical reports and presentation of technical results.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

PhD or Masters from School of Computer Engineering, Programming skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Minimum years of experience 1- 2 years 
Proficient knowledge in any one of the back-end programming languages like Python, Java, .NET etc.
Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms (such as mobile vs, desktop), and optimizing output to match the specific platform.
Experience in creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
Management of hosting environment, including database administration (both SQL and NoSQL) and scaling an application to support load changes
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, or ReactJS etc.
Experience in creating REST APIs for developed web applications is highly desired.
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.

Responsibilities:

Ensures that all testbeds (Lean Assembly Line, Virtual Manufacturing Lab, Manufacturing Intelligence Control Hub, etc) are well maintained. 
To assist the Testbed Team to ensure H&SE and 5s are comply with ARTC’s Operation and Workshop Policy. 
To participate in generation and improvements of Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedure (SWP) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). 
To work closely with testbed team to improve current Lean Assembly Line’s conditions and processes. 
To assist Testbed Senior Engineers’ with procurement, sourcing and coordination of meeting with suppliers.
To maintain, procure and coordinate purchase of Testbed related tools, equipment and inventories.  
To assist in testing of solutions, with the supervision of projects’ technical leads. 
To coordinate and lead interns to set up layout for Member’s and ARTC’s visits. 
Able to work closely with colleagues from other departments, i.e Operations, Business Development etc to deliver ARTC’s goals and objectives.

Condition monitoring (CM) refers to a set of techniques which are used to monitor plant equipment (using different technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, motor current analysis, etc.), determine their status or health and predict their failures for a better maintenance and to prevent long downtimes. 
Our Condition Monitoring team is working on developing new solutions for applications such as machine tools, FMCG, etc. for better performance and for early detection of systems defects, so that corrective actions (which can be through maintenance or adaptive control) can be performed  on time.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the execution of experimental tasks required for the team activities (this includes the operation of CNC machine tools, instrumentation and sensor integration, data collection and related measurements). An in-house training on the different equipment will be provided, when needed.

Responsibilities:

The Energy & Petrochemicals sector is new in ARTC and the successful candidate will report
to the Business & Technical Director at ARTC. The primary focus of the role is to attract
