Manufacturing is a key pillar of Singapore’s economy and contributes 20% to its Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Additive Manufacturing (AM) has been identified as an essential enabler allowing Singapore to further strengthen its advanced manufacturing foothold in a global competitive landscape with plentiful opportunities for growth and good job generation. This course will equip participants with the necessary skills and framework required to define an appropriate business case for AM and gain technical insights from the ground-level upwards towards the execution of AM in a safe and structured manner.

This 3-day course is offered in partnership with industry experts such as EOS, Materialise and TÜV SÜD.

About the Programme

The course aims to cover the following key aspects:

  • Implement AM effectively for different industry applications
  • Perform part screening and identify value propositions for AM to determine a suitable business case
  • Design for metal AM and topology optimisation
  • Implement a framework for quality control and safety aspects when executing industrial AM
  • Validate and qualify components for serial production
