On 19 Mar 2025, BMSIPO organised the FY2025 Health & Human Potential Innovation & Enterprise (HHP I&E) Workplan Sharing workshop. Looking ahead, the initial plans for the RIE2030 HHP I&E Economic Value Strategy (EVC) strategy was shared; and representatives from across the public sector ecosystem discussed how they could align and collaborate effectively to advance this strategy.

The event saw around 110 attendees from across 23 institutions, with broad representation from Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), healthcare clusters, government agencies, and technology transfer offices (TTOs).

Following a sharing on the RIE2030 EVC strategy, the attendees spoke about their workplans for the year ahead before participating in workgroup discussions, where they surfaced challenges across key domains — clinical trials, regulatory frameworks, data sharing, industry alignment, and adoption. Attendees also proposed a wide range of solutions such as pilot reimbursement models emulating the UK system, public-private co-payment schemes, and data monetisation strategies.

As Singapore moves ahead into RIE2030, it is important for our public sector ecosystem to collectively contemplate how we can bring the goals of the EVC strategy into fruition. “Coming together as a community to reflect on potential challenges and come up with potential solutions will enable us to work together more effectively as we move forward to execute the RIE2030 EVC strategy in the next 5 years,” emphasised Seck Yee Kwang, Director of BMSIPO.
