Ashley Yu

Research Officer

Profile

I graduated from the University of Queensland with a B.Sc. (Dual Major) in Food Science and Nutrition. My interests lie in the effects of nutritional components on human physiology, functional foods, exercise physiology and the synergy of nutritional and lifestyle factors in biomarkers of chronic diseases and cancer. My goal is to fully understand the underlying mechanisms behind nutritional components that potentially aid in reducing the risks / preventing the recurrence of chronic diseases and cancers, and to test and develop methods of combination diet and exercise programs and functional foods that aid in alleviating the conditions of patients and improving their quality of life.
