I discovered my passion in nutrition when I was studying in Nanyang Polytechnic. This resulted in my continuous pursuit of knowledge in this field in Queensland University of Technology (Australia) where I obtained by Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics with Second (Upper) Class Honours.
My final year honours project investigated parental feeding practices, the associated outcomes in children and the extent of such research done in Asia. I was involved in a substantial amount of nutritional data collection and comprehensive dietary assessments. More notably, I co-authored a large semi-systematic literature review which allowed me to conclude my degree with an even greater sense of achievement.
As a Research Officer in CNRC, I hope to gain more experience and in addition, put my existing knowledge to good use, contribute valuable research to influence positive changes to everyday nutrition and ultimately improve the health and well-being of each and every individual.
