‘Let thy food be thy medicine’ is a well-known quote by Hippocrates, and a firm belief that I hold close to heart. I graduated from Monash University with a Bachelors in Nutrition and Dietetics, and have been recognised as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian by the Dietitians Association of Australia. I have a keen interest and passion for the food industry, knowing that it ultimately is the gateway to food intake and one of the biggest influencers on the dietary practices of a given population.
Prior to joining A*STAR, I have had experiences in various food manufacturing and food service companies in the capacity of a dietitian and food technologist. As a Research Officer at CNRC, I hope to put my experience and knowledge to use, and contribute to the exponentially growing field of food science and nutrition research.
