Post Doctoral Fellow (Prof Ng Huck Hui’s lab)

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual who has strong interest in Stem Cells and Disease Modeling. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of Prof Ng Huck Hui at the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS).

We are initiating a signature program to tackle Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) that involves multi-institution collaboration. The program aims to develop a complete research pipeline that includes a clinical database, stem cell bio-resource, liver organoid and mouse models of NAFLD. Candidate will have the opportunity to explore cutting edge cell culture methodology, genetic tools for genome editing and high-throughput screening platforms.

The program aims to identify key biomarkers and target genes of NAFLD for diagnostic and therapeutic development. This is an excellent opportunity for candidate to connect with researchers of different discipline and engaged in both basic and translational research. Fresh graduates or experienced postdoc are welcome to apply.

Requirements :

      Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or related disciplines
      Prior research experience in metabolites study is highly preferred
      Well trained in cell culture and molecular techniques
      Good oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with others
      Co-authorships on peer-reviewed publications are preferred
