Modelled after the established Biodesign Programme at Stanford University, Singapore Biodesign is the first Asian Global Affiliate of the renowned Stanford for Byers Center for Biodesign Programme and is recognised as a national-level talent development platform for healthtech innovation training in Singapore with the aim to train and nurture the next generation of healthtech innovators for Asia.

Singapore Biodesign provides high-touch development of healthtech talent centered on needs-based approach through a series of Fellowships, SkillsFuture workshops and customized workshops. This is usually coupled with quality industry mentoring to accelerate health technology innovation development.

DxD Hub is an end-to-end productisation partner for In-vitro diagnostics, through innovative solutions from both local and regional partners.  


DxD hub expedites diagnostics and digital health product development by enabling validation, registration, and deployment of solutions that improve patient care and save lives.

Digital Health Accelerator (DHA) is a new initiative hosted by DxD Hub, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the 3 Health clusters – National Healthcare Group, National University Hospital Singapore and SingHealth, with support from Synapxe (previously known as IHiS) and Health Sciences Authority. 

DHA supports the development and adoption of clinically deployable digital health solutions in Singapore so as to enhance patient outcomes and elevate healthcare delivery across the nation.

MedTech Catapult
MedTech Catapult (MC) is a national initiative for accelerated and high-value MedTech productisation. MC aims to bolster local design and development capabilities for novel MedTech product development and enhance high-value MedTech manufacturing capacities of our local contract manufacturing organisations. 

MedTech Catapult provides ISO13485-complient in-house engineering capabilities and will work closely with its partners to translate intellectual property from technologies to commercial products, with a focus on sustainable design for life science instruments and medical devices.

The National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) is a national platform that aims to accelerate the adoption of hybrid and digital additive manufacturing technologies under Singapore’s Manufacturing and Economy 2030 Vision, helping industries transform towards innovation and high value-added manufacturing using sustainably sourced, nature-based designs and cradle-to-cradle on-demand manufacturing. 

NAMIC achieves this by focusing on value capture and creation through an industry sectoral engagement approach, leveraging on public-private partnerships and R&D investments, supporting translational research, and accelerating industry test-bedding towards commercial scale-up.

Singapore Health Technologies Consortium (HealthTEC.SG) is a technology consortium hosted by the Consortium Management Office (CMO) at Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Through facilitating partnerships across academia, industry and healthcare institutions, the Consortium accelerates the adoption and value capture of technologies developed in the research ecosystem for the industry. 

HealthTEC.SG organises health technology symposia, seminars, and workshops regularly for their members, and collaborates actively with overseas ecosystems to promote cross-market academic-industry R&D partnerships that may lead to relevant industry outcomes.
