Infectious Diseases

When the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic, it caused major disruptions to every corner of society and the economy. This new coronavirus has since infected and killed millions around the world.

The Infectious Diseases (ID) Horizontal Technology Coordinating Offices (HTCO) was established to combat diseases such as COVID-19 by leveraging relevant research across the local R&D ecosystem.

Complementing PREPARE, the national research programme for epidemic preparedness and response, ID HTCO aims to drive translational infectious diseases research to support Singapore’s efforts in fighting the pandemic.

ID HTCO is open to collaborations in infectious diseases research for the development of new discoveries to improve health outcomes.
