RadiLogic - Automation, IT and Robotics Innovation Best Practice Medal (NHIP 2021)

During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare institutes started the adoption of technology and innovation to meet the surges of demand for testing. One such institute was Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).

Together with A*STAR I2R and IHPC, radiologists from TTSH jointly developed an AI-powered system, called RadiLogic. They adopted this technology to help deal with surges in demand for chest X-rays diagnoses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This RadiLogic solution can analyse each chest X-ray within three seconds with an accuracy of up to 96 percent. It flags out abnormal cases and enhances the efficiency and diagnostic confidence of radiologists, better assisting frontline staff in deciding appropriate intervention and care for suspected COVID-19 cases.

This year, Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) was awarded the National Healthcare Innovation & Productivity (NHIP) Medals 2021 for achieving excellence in Automation, IT and Robotics Innovation in their adoption of the AI tool RadiLogic.
