Lim Eng Thiam – A*STAR T-Up Excellence Award 2021

Wanting to solve real world problems with his knowledge in AI, Eng Thiam joined Soundeye twice on the T-Up program, where he played a main role in the design and development of a sound recognition platform that has enabled the company to develop and commercialise two new products, DONUT and PUCK.
With its innovative surveillance technology and applicability in the social service sector, the sound recognition platform received accreditation from IMDA SG:SPARK programme, and has enabled SoundEye to be announced as a trusted partner for the National Council of Social Services.
These achievements led SoundEye to deploy more than 1,000 devices to the social service sector and other industry partners during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
His contributions at Soundeye earned him the T-Up Excellence Award 2021.
