We also study the science of scale-up and the use of in-process analytical techniques such as Raman spectroscopy and infra red probes to monitor reactions. Another key objective is the training of research staff in cutting-edge process development techniques.
By developing more efficient, robust and safe processes, we can contribute both to economic success and the environmental acceptability of manufacture. Our multidisciplinary team works with concepts coming from chemistry (atom efficiency and green chemistry) as well as chemical engineering (process intensification and clean technology) to look for more sustainable solutions to processing problems.
