Raymond LIN

Biography

Graduated from NUS with MBBS, obtained MSc with distinction from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.  Worked as a medical specialist in clinical microbiology at various public hospitals in Singapore, currently at the National University Hospital with joint appointment at the National University of Singapore.  Formed the National Public Health Laboratory in 2007 under the Ministry of Health, and he is the current NPHL Director at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases. Member of the Genetic Modification Advisory Committee, and other advisory committees relating to research and biosafety under MOH.  Member of various technical and advisory panels of the WHO, and most recently finished term as chair of the WHO pandemic influenza preparedness advisory group.
