Reliable data collection under harsh outdoor conditions with or without readily available power source. Parameters that can be collected include motion, temperature, pressure, vibration and pH.

  • Packaging and ruggedisation of sensors. E.g. ability of sensors to operate at high/low temperature and pressure, corrosive environment and underwater.
  • Low power and energy harvesting solutions to prolong system longevity. E.g. MCU scheduling, piezoelectric harvesters, etc.
