I³ conducted a virtual IIoT learning tour for two groups of SMU students on 5 and 11 Nov 2020. The programme covered an introduction to A*STAR and I³, followed by a virtual tour of I³ Nexus using our 3D digital showcase and pre-recordings of technology and use case demonstration. 

The highlight of the learning tour had to be the final segment of live Q&A. Students had the opportunity to pose questions to our I³ engineers and scientist and have them answered. Questions ranged from getting tips on how to adapt from school-based projects to real-world industrial projects to finding out the challenges faced by industry to move from POC to actual deployment of the solution. The IIoT tour helped to provide the element of industry relevance and complement the IoT concepts that the students had picked up in their module.
