Vascular network of mouse retina labeled with the endothelial cell marker CD31 (green) and endothelial nuclei marker ERG (red). Images were acquired with the Olympus FV3000RS laser scanning confocal microscope using the resonance scanner & multi-area time lapse (MATL) function. Sample preparation & imaging by Pui Mun Wong & Danielle Sng (Bruno Reversade’s lab) with guidance from Radiance Lim (Lena Ho's Lab).

A*STAR Microscopy Platform


The A*STAR Microscopy Platform (AMP) is a core technology platform within the Skin Research Institute of Singapore (SRIS) whose mission is to provide light (AMP | LM) and electron microscopy (AMP | EM) equipment along with image processing and analysis software and the expertise to facilitate research in molecular, cell and developmental biology.

As well as standard widefield and confocal microscopy AMP focuses on seven areas of advanced imaging:

  1. 3D Imaging
  2. F-technique
  3. High content imaging
  4. Live-cell imaging
  5. Super-resolution microscopy
  6. Electron microscopy
  7. Image analysis & processing
