New Sensor to Detect Bladder Cancer Biomarkers
The ability to determine DNA methylation biomarkers presents tremendous opportunities for early diagnosis, clinical research and therapy monitoring of relevant cancers.
This paper describes for the first time a label-free sensor for DNA methylation detection using silicon microring resonators. Results demonstrated that the sensor can be used for fast and sensitive measurement of specific methylated DNA biomarkers in bladder cancer.
