The symposium of Advanced Surfaces and Dynamic Materials will focus on an emerging field of research that seeks to understand and utilise dynamic surface interactions. These dynamic surface interactions allow design of surfaces that can dynamically restore their pristine condition in the face of changing wet, dry, biologically charged operating environments. Research components include characterisation and understanding of dynamic surface interactions, responsive polymers and new dynamic polymeric materials such as vitrimers. International experts in this research area will be presenting their work together with A*STAR scientists from the Advanced Surfaces Pharos program.
