IMRE scientists invented a new permanent surface coating, CleanClear, which prevents fogging on both glass and plastic surfaces by creating a layer of water. Using a new superhydrophilic coating technology, the durable and ceramic coating attracts water instead of repelling it, for a better, clearer view and it may be used on car windshields, spectacles, covers for cookware, etc. The one-time ceramic coating can be applied onto glass or plastic materials at processing temperatures below 100oC,making the coating process simpler and ultimately more cost effective.
