                                       National Research Foundation, Singapore (S$5.3M)

Responsible for developing a novel infrared metrology technique with visible photons, methods for generation of hyper-entangled and mixed two-photon states and the method of controllable locomotion of microspheres for super-resolution imaging.  Realized noise-robust spectroscopy of plasmonic nanostructures using entangled photons and implemented the scheme for optimal measurements of entanglement witnesses.  Revealed photon bunching and squeezing using novel multi-pixel photon counters, discovered capability of retinal rod cells to measure photon statistics and demonstrated single photon sensitivity of rod cells using a true single photon source.
