We provide students and teachers with first-hand experience in research, to expose more young people to research experiences beyond their academic curriculum. The program aims to nurture young minds in scientific research and inspire them to pursue careers in biomedical science.

Apply to do a research attachment at NBL! You will be mentored by our researchers on a research project in one of our five research areas: Nanocomposites, Biomaterials, Devices, and Biosystems.

NBL looks for students who demonstrate a keen interest and passion in scientific research, and who are self-motivated, matured, proactive, responsible and a good team player.

What to expect?

YRP is a competitive program and receives a very large number of applications.

Applications for attachment during peak periods, such as school holidays or term breaks, will be subjected to mentor availability.

How to apply?

Complete the YRP Application Form and email it together with scanned copies of your transcripts from GCE ‘O’ level, GCE ‘A’ level, polytechnic and university or its equivalent (in PDF format) to yrp@nbl.a-star.edu.sg. NBL will review the applications, and only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.
